42 HAWAII PARENT NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2023 THE COLE ACADEMY Ages 6 Months to 6 Years The Cole Academy is a family-owned and operated preschool with multiple locations in Hawaii. Our specialized academic and social curriculum prepares children for success and kindergarten readiness, including early reading, math, foreign language and infant-toddler sign language. Care is offered from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with both full-time and part-time enrollment options for reduced tuition. The Cole Academy also welcomes requests for alternative schedules to suit interested families’ needs. In addition to preschool and childcare, we offer drop-in and back-up care for an hourly fee if a child’s regular preschool is unavailable, or if parents have an important appointment or errand. There is no application fee, and interested parents are encouraged to visit our website to find their nearest location and schedule a tour. CROSS ACADEMY Ages 2.5 through 8th Grade Cross Academy, formerly known as Our Savior Lutheran School, promotes the Christian faith and life-long learning in an ohana-style environment for preschool through 8th grade. While teachings are based on Lutheran Doctrine, Cross Academy welcomes students of all faiths. Our preschool immerses students in bible stories and features daily worship and weekly chapel. As children explore materials and the environment in a safe, accepting and supportive atmosphere, they are empowered to be creative and curious learners. Cross Academy’s preschool accepts children ages 2.5 through four years old with full and half-day options available. Scholarships and financial aid are also available.
