54 HAWAII PARENT NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2023 RAINBOW SCHOOLS Kahuku, Kaneohe, Mililani, Wahiawa: Ages 2 to 5 Honolulu: Ages 3 Months to 5 Years Rainbow Schools is a non-profit organization of early childhood education centers that has been serving the families of Oahu with quality programs since 1972. To us, learning is a natural accomplishment of living and should be a joyful and positive experience. Our role is to focus the learning already taking place in a child’s life by guiding them toward four goals: basic skill development, a deeper awareness of the world and their place in it, creative expression, and the ability to make effective choices. Rainbow Schools’ supportive teachers individualize instruction so that each child may develop at their own rate. Strengths and abilities are emphasized, and tasks are broken into steps which are developmentally appropriate. Rainbow Schools provides nutritionally appropriate breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Interested families are encouraged to call any of our five locations to schedule a tour. KEIKI CARE CENTER OF HAWAII Ages 2 to 5 At Keiki Care Center of Hawaii (KCCOH), children learn through play, as our core philosophy is structured around our motto, “Enhancing Joyful Learning.” Keiki Care Center believes that each child is an individual with their own individual needs. Our curriculum program is in alignment with the Hawaii Early Learning and Development Standards (“HELDS”). KCCOH conducts parent conferences and produces a customized portfolio for each keiki. Our knowledgeable and experienced teachers create a supportive and nurturing environment to help form a positive foundation for lifelong learning. Available hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a part-time program available until 2 p.m. Limited spaces are available, but we welcome families to visit our website to learn more and schedule a tour.
